Jesus in Pizza Sauce?

Published by Kevin Bussey under apparitions

[Times Tribune]
When Mary Louise Salerno saw Jesus Christ in a bucket of pizza sauce, her instinct was not to alert the media or even to tell many friends.

She did not want people descending on her family’s West Scranton pizzeria, and she did not want to invite critics or doubters of what she felt was a clear sign.

“To us, it was something special,” Ms. Salerno, 65, of Old Forge said. “God smiled on us that day.”

The image of Jesus has a history of unexpected appearances, from rocks and windows to medical X-rays and a tortilla. Add to that a sauce bucket at Brownie’s Famous Pizzeria, a long-standing eatery on Luzerne Street. It happened on the first Friday of Lent.

Looks more like Sir Walter Raleigh…in a can. We better let him out before he suffocates.

Jesus on Fire?

Published by Kevin Bussey under apparitions

[Times 24]

WHEN Rob Millist lit a fire in the lounge of his Old Hatfield home as he set up for a party, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. But after a few minutes he was stunned to see the face of JESUS CHRIST staring back at him from the flames.

The defining features of a gaunt face are clearly visible in this snap he took on Friday night.

And Rob, a freelance video editor, reckons it bears the resemblance of the son of God.

The 29-year-old, of Church Street, said: “We were taken by surprise.

“On the corner of one of the logs, the ash part was the face. You can see two eyes, a nose and moustache.”

“It’s very spooky, and very profound.”

Rob is a member of the Welwyn Hatfield branch of Friends of the Earth, and is currently campaigning against an incinerator being built in the county.

He said: “Maybe Jesus is opposing incineration too!”

And Rob added friends and neighbours who had seen the fire, or his photos, were equally shocked.

“Everyone I’ve shown them to do not say anything. They just stare and their jaws drop open.”

[From me]

“It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing;
That’s how it is with God’s Love,
Once you’ve experienced it,
Your spread the love to everyone
You want to pass it on.”

Oldie but a goodie…

Published by Kevin Bussey under apparitions

[Belief Net]

On October 5, 1977, Maria Rubio was making fresh tortillas for her husband’s breakfast when she came across a startling discovery: while cooking, the face of Jesus had been burned onto the surface of a tortilla by the heat of the skillet. Maria’s husband, Eduardo, and their daughter, Rosy, recognized the image as well.

Virgin Mary in this water stain?

Published by Kevin Bussey under apparitions

[LA Times]

An image of the Virgin Mary was discovered by Father Ernest Bulinda, the Rector at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk.

At first glance it looks just like any water stain, but looking closely, many see a silhouette of the Virgin Mary.

Father Bulinda says he was walking past the baptismal font when something caught his eye. Unsure of what it was, he turned around and that’s when he spotted the image.

Uncertain of what he saw, Father asked one of his parishoners:

“I told him what do you think about that? He came and looked, he said that’s interesting and I said what do you think about that? It looks like the picture of the Virgin Mary,” Father Bulinda said.

man finds Jesus in coconut?

Published by Kevin Bussey under apparitions

[News 10]

A Paradise man claims he discovered a miracle in the produce section of his local grocery.

In a letter to News10, Mike Zachweija said he went shopping to buy bananas a few days before Christmas. He glanced at a bunch of coconuts and noticed one that looked like it had a silhouette of a face on it.

Impressed with the image Zachweija bought the coconut.

On Christmas Day Zachweija said he decided to take some pictures of the coconut before the image faded away.

In his letter he wrote:

“As the first picture I took appeared on my small digital camera, I could hardly believe what I was looking at. The silhouette face now had some color and much more detail, with added Christmas sunlight. The face looked very much like that of Jesus.”
