Catalyst Conference Day 1 2nd Update

Here are our front row cushy seats!
I got in late after I updated and someone stole my seat!
But Seth Godwin talked about Tribes. Then John Foreman sang again before Craig Groeschel spoke from Joel 2:13-14 about what do you do when you lose “IT.” Well, that message really spoke to me. He said God wants to Stretch us, Heal us and Ruin us. But he wants to ruin us in a good way. He doesn’t want us to rip our garments but our hearts. God wants us to be broken so that we can be used by God. I was moved to say the least.
We got to go eat with some good friends Jeff and Claudia Hunt following the day and I’m just now trying to unpack what I learned. Of course Craig prayed we wouldn’t sleep all night so I guess that will happen.
Here are some pictures we took.

I bet he said something about us building muscle when a muscle is torn, right? What a cool way to think about building heart. I never thought of it that way.
I came here because I really liked your blog title (saw it on Cycle Guy’s list, I think). Cool post.
Having my cardiac muscle ripped by a supernatural entity sounds positively chilling!!
