Grad Selling Her Virginity For Tuition

[CBS 13]
A Sacramento State grad is trying to make money the old fashioned way, by auctioning off her virginity to help pay for her graduate studies. And so far, bidding is up to $250,000.
The 21-year-old who is using the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for safety reasons is going through a legal brothel in Nevada to sell her virginity. Dylan says she’s already taken a polygraph test to prove her virginal status, and is also willing to undergo a medical exam.

How sad. God intended sex to be between a husband and wife. This misguided woman is giving away something special to a stranger. She may as well go to the street corner. I don’t get it.
What do you think?

Let me get this straight–this is how she’s going to pay for her graduate degree in “Marriage and Family Counseling”?

It is more than sad Kevin. It is disturbing. To have made it to age 21 as a virgin today is almost unheard of but then to sell it away is mind-boggling. How sad that she thinks a debt free education is more important than self-respect. There goes any talk about integrity. (I wonder what she plans to be after her education?) But sadly this kind of stuff is the result of no boundaries, no absolutes, no “this is what the Bible says.” This is post-modernism at its worst (or is it best?)

Don’t you know Mama and Daddy are so proud of their baby girl!
Don’t you know her future husband will be so pleased to know what she did?
Or…don’t you know God is celebrating her decision to prostitute herself for money?

Something’s a bit funny … why would she hide her name, but plaster the page with photos of herself?
Lost people acting lostly. I suppose there are always about as many lost folks acting really lostly, as there are saved ones really acting like saved folks.

That is really sad. I hope she doesn’t go through with it. Maybe now that the message is out, someone will talk her out of it.

Sad. What is also bad is that someone would be willing to even pay something like that.

When we started dating, I told Lisa something that took her quite aback at first:
I told her that I didn’t want us to kiss until our wedding day.
Now you gotta know this too: she was the very first girlfriend that I had (and it wasn’t for lack of trying, either) and I was the first boyfriend that she ever had (which still dumbfounds me ‘cuz she really is more beautiful than she knows). Meaning that up ’til that time, neither one of us had kissed before. Ever. Well you know how I mean that…
And this sounds crazy, but we had an AMAZING dating relationship after that. Abiding by that one simple rule meant that we took the focus off of physical intimacy, and onto everything else, especially the spiritual component of our friendship. We didn’t get to see too much of each other anyway (I was living 3 hours away at the time so it was mostly on weekends) but when we did get together, we found ourselves enjoying our time a lot more because we didn’t have to worry about the temptation at all.
The *one* time that we came close to overcoming that boundary, and it was really more or less a joke anyway, was a few month after we got engaged and I was leaving her apartment one night. I told her that I couldn’t take it anymore, so I folded up several paper towels, put them between our lips and we kissed through that. I’ve still got ‘em in a plastic baggie too, labeled “Chris and Lisa’s First Kiss”
Well, lo and behold, we did make it to our wedding day. And we had the very first kiss of our lives in front of our family and friends. Looking back, I wouldn’t take anything for that moment. And it wasn’t a very hard thing at all to wait for that much, either.
Sounds crazy, but it does work. Did for us anyway

If true, this is certainly heart-breaking. My heart goes out to her.
Will she some day realize what’s she’s done and live with inconsolable grief and regret the rest of her life?

Here is my first thought…if she’s going to give it away anyway, why not get college tuition out of it. (Sorry, that was my alter; bitter and calloused side) BUT- then I come back to reality and admit that is wrong of me to think. If she is considering this she is probably not all that concerned about morals etc.
It’s too bad though. Unfortunately it doesn’t surprise me all that much.
Did I just read she’s getting a degree in marriage and family counseling…cock-a-do-doodle- do, I’ve heard it all. How about working hard, paying for education with blood, sweat, and tears, maybe then she’ll end with a degree and who knows, maybe a little self-respect taboot!
Young American’s these days, spoiled, expecting a handout and when they don’t get one, they give it up. Ugh.

A quarter of a million dollars for her membrane? Pardon me whilst I giggle.
Fran,
:)) :))
No one is with a million. Good luck to her. And people please, there is no god to save other, just a belief to keep people in check by the real Mob, religious (so called) leaders. Science rules
