Hagee: Israel Must Control All Jerusalem
American evangelist John Hagee announced donations of $6 million to Israeli causes on Sunday and said that Israel must remain in control of all of Jerusalem. Hagee, a Christian Zionist who has been in the spotlight lately for endorsing presidential candidate John McCain and criticizing the Catholic Church, brought hundreds of backers on a solidarity trip to Israel.
Hagee and his group, Christians United for Israel, joined keynote speaker Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of Israel’s hard-line opposition Likud Party, at a rally in support of Jerusalem remaining united and under Jewish control.
“Turning part or all of Jerusalem over to the Palestinians would be tantamount to turning it over to the Taliban,” Hagee told an audience filled with Americans who waved Israeli flags and cheered.
Hagee has called the Roman Catholic Church “the great whore” and a “false cult system.” He has also suggested that the Catholic church helped shape Adolf Hitler’s anti-Semitism.

Mr. Hagee, God doesn’t need your help. When Jesus is ready to come back, He will. You can’t make it happen any sooner by trying to control history. I’m tired of your kind of heresy. Your embarrass Christians by acting like you speak for God. You don’t. Neither do Mr. Robertson or any of the Zionists out there. We can’t manipulate the Bible and God’s Will. When He is ready, He will fulfill the prophecies that haven’t been fulfilled yet. All we do is get in the way. Our job is to tell people about Jesus not manipulate history. Our job is to allow Jesus to live through us. Many of the TV preachers are just making Christianity look like it is out of touch.

I hope you’re right. I don’t think that Hagee et al can cause any sort of world-wide revolution, but I do believe that they have some level of influence in destabilized an already plagued Middle East.
I would include many of the AM-radio preachers to this list.
Totally agree Kevin. What also makes it hard is that those of us who are local pastors are in “competition” with this kind of c..errr junk. I have a lady who is dying of cancer and her son sent her a prayer cloth. As if that would help any?? I just wonder if Jesus is sitting on His throne cringing.

People like Hagee support Israel…
…because they *desperately* want Israel to ultimately SUFFER like no other nation in the history of the world, in order to fulfill their own end-time hopes.

Kevin, you summed it up perfectly.
I’ve found that 80-90% of TV preachers are not to be relied upon, but most of the FM radio preachers (at least on stations here and those found at OnePlace.com are pretty sound).

I totally agree with you on this post! John Hagee should be outlawed. It’s very sad to me that so many people may be searching for God and happen across these folks on tv. All I can hear them saying is if you send me enough money you can go to heaven.

A new LifeWay store opened up some time ago near the Home Depot I go to. I’ve been meaning to go in since it opened so this was the perfect excuse to finally go 
I hang my head in shame when I say that John Hagee was once a very powerful preacher (in the Pentecostal tradition, no less), and that he has gone off the “deep end” with his Zionism.
He, along with Robertson et al tend to embarrass the rest of us every time they open their mouths.
