There’s gotta be more to life than this–Tom Brady
Tom Brady has All American looks and an NFL MVP arm as a quarterback for the New England Patriots. He has won 3 Super Bowls and has dated some of the most beautiful women in the world. He has more money than he could ever spend. Yet, he says him self that something is missing. This video is less than 3 minutes long but I think it is worth watching.
If you don’t watch anything else–go to 2:31 into the video and listen to what he says:
“Why do I have 3 Super Bowl Rings and still think there’s something greater out there”
“There has to be more to live than this”
Interviewer, “what’s the answer?’
Brady. “I wish I knew.”
Wow! Tom Brady is living the dream that most American Boys could only imagine and yet he seems unhappy. I know the answer. The answer to life is a relationship with Jesus Christ. The moment I gave my life to Jesus the world is different. I have a purpose everyday. I see the world differently. I look at people differently. I confess I have pulled against Brady because of his lifestyle. No more. I was wrong and will pray for him.
If you are wondering is there more to life? Yes, and all you have to do is ask Jesus to become the leader of your life.
What do you think?

It is an amazing confession! Also, don’t forget having actresses and supermodels swoon over him. You are right, Kevin.
This is a sad, sad commentary on Brady. I expected more from him in view of the fact his father, a Maryknoll priest dropout (after 6 years) and professess to be such a spiritual person has failed miserably to set example and expectations to help his son reach the level of spirituality and values to know what he wants to attain. He is 30, but has the mentality of an adolescent. Brady QB failed miserably as a 30 year old person with all the opportunities a lot of people only dream of; and yet he has failed to acknowledge his son; never calls or refers to son John by name or even say “my son” and as you say failed to accept Christ in his life. Visited with John no more than 4-6 hours since birth. Obviously rejected the child and abandoned him. Refuses to take questions when media inquire about John; unlike Steve Young or Joe Montana who rave and comment in detail about their kids — always have. And Brady wants to be compared to Joe and Steve. Will never ever make the grade. QB Brady’s father “preaches” up and down coast of CA and in Boston on how people should live and avoid the “Blitzes in Life”. Humm Maybe this is what Brady SR. expects of his son; live the life of glamor and money. Brady Sr. doesn’t acknowlege Grandson either. Brady Sr. uses BLITZ audience to get clients (financial invenstment business)….and son Brady has access to people with money (other players with huge salaries). It may take a rude awakening for Brady to find his purpose in life….thru Christ I hope.
I used to love this guy, but I don’t anymore. I used to think he was a good person who was decent, but not anymore. I used to think he had good morals, but not anymore. I pray for him now, that he’ll grow up and become a better person. Jesus works miracles and I hope he can work one through this guy.
I remember this interview when it was first aired in 2005. I was puzzeled because I (like everyone else in Boston) thought that he had a wonderful, close knit family that was rooted in the Roman Catholic faith. I am not a Catholic, but many close friends are and this comment ran counter to what I observed in my friends families. Well, the comment is not so puzzling anymore. It seems the family and the quarterback worship at a different altar of money, decit, immoral behavior, and mockery of our social mores. Of course he is going to feel is this “all there is” - these values are phoney and fleeting and the glamourous friends he has are not the kind that stick through the hard times. What is he going to do when he is 45 or 50 and no longer “hot” and the star QB of questionable integrity of a pro football team. What is he going to do when his son says I don’t know you and I don’t want to know you. What is he going to do when the supermodel finds him no longer useful and moves on to another “hot” body. Maybe he needs our prayers, but at the moment, I don’t think I can pray for him. Nearly every morning when I open my newspaper and am greeted by another offensive photograph or paragraph extoling virtues that he now panders to, I just want him to go away so that his “values” do not corrupt our children. So that when they grow up they wonder if there is more to life than this.
[…] she is a good person. Deep down, she knows she’s not! There is also the story of Tom Brady found here. He has it all by American standards but thinks, “There has to more to life than this.” Great […]
