Authorities say a man ran through two bottles of wine, then cut through a snowstorm on his lawnmower, riding down the center of the street to reach the liquor store.

Adrian police say they found 49-year-old Frank Kozumplik homeward bound on a John Deere tractor Saturday night, toting four bottles of wine in a paper bag.

Mike Huckabee learned how to be a politician in church. As pastor at Immanuel Baptist in Pine Bluff, he visited the homes of members. Years later, he could recall their names. He learned how to raise money, even in struggling congregations. And in a statewide fight over Baptist leadership, he confronted powerful opponents and won. He called it

“some of the most intense hardball politics I have ever seen.”

I have no beef with Huckabee. He might get my vote. But that quote is an indictment against the church. How sad that a politician would learn how to play politics in the church. Somehow I don’t see that pleasing Jesus. He didn’t play politics and neither should we.

A burglar who broke into a Greek Orthodox bishop’s car made off with quite a haul, but fencing one of the stolen items could prove difficult. Among the items stolen from Bishop Metropolitan Isaiah’s car was a jeweled crown of gold and silver, which Isaiah estimated to be worth between $6,000 and $10,000.

1st, I am sorry for this happening. I have been robbed more times than I can count. Plus my wife was car jacked near Arlington back when we were in Seminary. But I wondered what would be stolen from ministers of various denominations?

• Etc..

What about from non-Christian groups?

• Mormons

• Buddhists
• Muslim
• etc…
