Hanukkah Ham?
[WCCO]
This was REALLY not kosher. A grocery store in Manhattan made a food faux pas, advertising hams as “Delicious for Chanukah.”  Chanukah, an alternate spelling for Hanukkah, is the eight-day Jewish holiday that began Tuesday evening, and hams as well as pork and other products from pigs can’t be eaten under Jewish dietary laws.
Read about it here.
[From me]
Why don’t they have Chanukah Eastern Carolina BBQ? Maybe there is something to religious education…Ya think?
One response so far

We had Jewish friends visit for a ski vacation a few years back. They just happened to plan it over Christmas, and I had already ordered a nice ham for dinner. As it turned out, one of them was a vegetarian and the other didn’t keep kosher, so it was less awkward than it could have been. Still, it provided a great opportunity to discuss Jewish customs, Christianity, Hannukah and Christmas.
