[From CBS News]

A woman was sent to jail for six months after failing to repay $56,134 to investors who were told they’d get rich with an invention that keeps outdoor Christmas lights hidden.

Kristine Mylonakis, 45, was accused of fleecing more than 70 investors by claiming she manufactured cylindrical trim that keeps lights concealed until they are needed. She had no such invention.

He would think, “What’s the point? All the fun is in the misadventures of putting them up every year.”

    Kevin,

You’ve inspired the first ever “Clark Griswold Day”. Read about it here: http://loom–wheel.blogspot.com/2007/06/it-must-be-clark-griswold-day.html

    Blessings,

5 years ago, when we were home on furlough, I was up on the roof of our mission home, putting up the Christmas lights (that I so dearly missed doing the previous 4 years on “the field”). My wife and kids were coming home and as they rounded the corner and saw me on the roof, my oldest proclaimed, “I sure hope Clark doesn’t fall off the roof this year!”

I’m gonna do it up big this year, too! Just call me “Clark”.

Francoise, Clark W. Griswold is the main character (played by Chevy Chase) in the National Lampoon “Vacation” movies. In “Christmas Vacation” he put so many Christmas lights on his house, the city had to engage the nuclear backup, just to run his lights.

I think he would wonder if they had a pool, and stripped naked ;)
