This is why I’m a Bama fan!

[From Yahoo Sports]
Nick Saban is already filling Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium — and then some.
An overflow crowd of 92,138-plus fans attended the Crimson Tide’s spring game Saturday, nearly doubling the school’s A-Day attendance record and forcing university officials to start turning people away in the first half.
That kind of turnout for essentially a scrimmage was yet another indication of how much Saban’s hiring in January has stirred up a rabid fan base hungry for a championship.
“It shows the passion that people have for the University of Alabama, and it certainly makes me feel great about being here as head coach,” Saban said.
“It was awesome,” Quarterback John Parker Wilson said. “We were standing around there like, ‘Man, there’s a lot of people here.’ We didn’t expect that many people. To see that kind of support just makes us feel good.”
“I still can’t believe it, really,” Cornerback Simeon Castille said. “It’s a spring game and we have 92,000 people here.”

Ohhh Kevin,
Don’t you know, the more hyped you get in the preseason, the more the disappointment hurts when you end up losing over half your games during the season?
-Your Bulldawg friend.
Jamie,
That is the difference between Bama and State. We see the football world half-full not half-empty.
bro… this is totally crazy. i hopped on the web a few minutes ago and thought, “hmm… i wonder if there is anything on espn.com about bama…” i was in desperate need of a bama fix. instead, i chose to view your blog. woah. woah. woah. i’m SO pumped!!
rammer jammer!
I love college sports as much as the next guy but I just have to drop this in… and, no, it isn’t super spirituality or anything… but when I see this I see a lot of people who likely don’t have intimacy with the Father and who are desperate to find intimacy. Perhaps I wouldn’t be so quick to say that if it were the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Alabama struggles a bit with us little piggies.
KB! I was able to watch the game yesterday as it was on Comcast here in Delaware! It was awesome. I’ve got it on my Tivo…want a DVD?
It was nuts, and a great game. I subscribe to bamaonline.com and there’s so much excitement before, after, and during the game it’s amazing. They had to turn away 1000’s of people because the fire marshal wouldn’t let’em come in. This is going to be a fascinating year.
Ramma Jamma Yellow Hamma . . .
I’m with Bryan. This looks to me like 100,000 people looking to a false god for their salvation.
Bama needs a savior.
Hope you don’t start next season on such a SLOW note…
Don’t need to worry about that Big Daddy… Baba ain’t slow at all…. we love Alabama…. they lose very quickly when the Hogs come rollin into town.
However I don’t want to offend anyone….least of all Bama fans. The SEC can take heart because of Vanderbilt…
Oh wait, they won against Bama Last year?
Well…Jesus might love you more if you’d call the Hogs with us.
Woooo Pig Soooey! Woooo Pig Soooey! Woooo Pig Soooey! Razorbacks!

David,
Yes!!!! I would love that.
For the rest of you losers

Bama is back!
KB, email me your address and I’ll get it in the mail to you this week.
david, bro, hook me up, too! especially if you’re going to be in the area in a few weeks…
From deep in Auburn Country….
When I stopped at a Chevron station on Saturday there were a bunch of folks headed to the BAMA scrimmage. “Going to the game?” they asked. To which I responed, “what game?” Then they saw that I was wearing a Georgia shirt and I cared nothing about the scrimmage that was to happen up highway 82 later that day.
Anyway, there are going to be 92,000 disappointed fans this year (you know, since BAMA fans expect that national title every year) but I think BAMA will be the team to beat in the West within 2 years. (Who else is there in the West?) Auburn will be green with envy again in no time.
