Most would probably sink over time. The cup and fry carton usually is caught in the brush. The bun and the fries would hopefully be eaten by birds or turtles before sinking all the way.
Thanks to both of you, but it’s all gibberish to me. “Cup and fry carton caught in the brush” ??????????? Birds and tutrles??????????????????? What have you been smoking?
I just don’t understand anything that’s being said- you know, 2 cultures separated by a common language!
Can someone else translate all this into standard English, please?
One of the late night TV hosts here, David Letterman, has a segment from time to time on his show called “Will It Float?” Guests are asked to guess whether or not an item (usually something very outlandish) will float in water or not. It’s all very silly, but that’s the point.
Francoise,
I actually forgot abbout it being on Letterman. They use a big dunking booth for the show. ( dunking booth is like a very deep pool but small in circumferance )
I was thinking about when food is thrown out at the lake or beach. All the food stuff would float or be eaten, but the paper goods would eventually sink to the mud or be moved by the wind into the brush. The brush is the grassy shore area.
Hope that helps!
What’s sad is that after being away from American food for a bit it actually looks good again. McD’s really stopped looking good after having children who want to go there all the time.
Thank you all for the translatons. I thought I was losing my reason there for a while. See what I mean about two countries being separated by a common language?
Yes. Well most of it at least. I think.
I know the ice will. And probably the fries.
Once I get it inside me–it will float.
I’m far from being prudish, but I really do think that the above pic should be classified as pornography.
Will it float—-Uh?? What do you mean? Will what float? I don’t get it.

You know how to make an elephant float?
2 scoops of ice cream, and elephant, and some Seven Up.
