Book Review-On the Move

I was asked to review the book On the move by Bono.
I wasn’t sure what to expect in a book from a rock star. Well it turns out this is the speech that Bono gave to the Prayer Breakfast last year in Washington, DC.
It was creatively made into a small “coffee table” book with moving pictures of children in poverty and stricken with AIDS. To say I enjoyed it would be hard to say. I thought the speech was powerful. I don’t understand Bono’s faith but it is obvious he has a relationship with Jesus. I really don’t know how to rate this book because I read it in 20-25 minutes.
So, I won’t give it a rating. I will say if you are looking for a moving “coffee table” book that will be a conversation starter–this is a good book for you.

What about Bono’s faith do you not understand? I don’t know much about him, really, so I am curious as to what you mean.
Bryan,
I heard him drop a few colorful words at the Grammys a few years ago. I’ve read other stuff but I’m sure he is changing. I truly believe he is a Christ follower I just don’t understand the lifestyle. But he has definitely displayed the love of Jesus to others. For that I rejoice.
Philippians 1:18
But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
I met Bono a few years ago when he was lobbying Jesse Helms at the Senate and I think he really is a committed Christian. He put his reputation and career on the line to stand up for what God calls us to do.
That speech is amazing - thanks for sharing it.
