I appreciate them, though. It's an attempt at being funny. I'd like to think we as Christians can be funny but not in a cheesy way. We are made fun of for being so anal-retentive and Ned Flanders-ish. Although not the best way, these slogans and signs are trying to be different and call attention to church in a unique way. Of course, it becomes goofy and embarassing, but it could be effective...what about "Get your Mass in here!" I don't know...I like it.

Kevin - our state district superintendent spoke @ our church last week, & his talk was called "How to Fight Truth Decay". Our programming team couldn't stop laughing. In fact to make it "work" we made a video (www.youtube.com/clcdayton) it made it better, but the title was so cheesy! Anyway, it was an okay message...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices these church signs with the lame slogans on them. And to think that people sit around and think of slogans with six words or less, and publish them in magazines so people will know what to put on the signs.

"Seven days without prayer makes one weak."
"Great message. See Inside."
"You're going to hell, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it." --Calvinist Church sign.
