Research shows God answers prayers

Posted at 4:53 pm under prayer, research

[From physorg.com]

Does God or some other type of transcendent entity answer prayer? The answer, according to a new Arizona State University study published in the March journal Research on Social Work Practice, is “yes.”

Read about it here.

[From me]

I could care less if research proves it or not. I’ve seen God answer my prayers all of my life. Sometimes I don’t like the answer but He always answers either yes, no or wait.

How about you?

    This is actually from Jonathan:

There was a lot of press about this a year ago when the Benson study (referred to in the article) came out.

I have an excerpt from an op-ed by an episcopal priest (now behind the TimesSelect wall) here: link

Like you, I’m not looking for validation of my belief in the value of prayer. However, I do think there is room for us to reexamine our understanding of prayer…

A while back Scott Adams (of Dilbert fame) linked to the http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/ web site.

    Johnathan,

I’m sorry it got in my spam :(
