At least there is basketball season!

Alabama’s basketball program is headed in the right direction under Head Coach Mark Gottfried. We are ranked pre-season Top 15 and in some polls top 10.
The football program is headed south. I like Mike Shula, but I just don’t think he will make it. Congrats to Mississippi State on the victory. But Bama has way too much talent to lose that game. Butch Davis, I would wait before going to Chapel Hill, Tuscaloosa will give you much more $$!

Don’t give up, Kevin. There’s still some good football to watch out there. After all, the Sooners are still playing.
If Shula pulls off a win against Auburn, he gets another year, guaranteed.
One good thing about Alabama Basketball is that we only have to suffer for 48 minutes, instead of 60 minutes like in football.
Not to mention Baseball, where we get to endure 7 minutes of actual action spread over several hours.
C’mon Kev, maybe just admit the better team won yesterday! At least the better coach!
Seems like the last time we beat Bama in that situation it cost another coach his job (see Gene Stallings).
Jamie (and Florida, eh?)
Joe,
I didn’t care much for Stallings, but I really felt bad for the Zooker.
Kevin,
You should start cheering for a good football team a little south of Tuscaloosa.
I don’t think Shula will get another year.
Ahh, now everyone can start to see why it’s good to root for the Gators. We never take a season off! Football, yep they’re good, basketball, yep they’re #1, baseball, yep they’re not so bad either, golf, gymnastics, swimming, tennis, etc. Yep, we’re good in everything!
Go Gators!!
argh. yeah, it stinks being a fan sometimes. but, i’m not a fair weather fan. i’ll stick w/ the boys for the remainder of the season. who knows… maybe they can pull off an upset against lsu and/or auburn? it’d be sweet…
